About ICA Insurance

ICA Insurance (ICA Försäkring), founded in 2015, is a popular insurance provider in Sweden covering home insurance, car insurance, travel insurance, health insurance, pet insurance, and life insurance.

ICA Insurance is both an insurance company and an insurance broker (försäkringsförmedlare), and they offer their insurance policies through ERV Insurance (Travel Insurance), AXA (Life Insurance) and their own insurance company ICA Försäkring. They are also part of the larger ICA Group, which includes ICA Banken and the ICA Groceries & Supermarket chains.

ICA Home Insurance

ICA Insurances offers home insurances in the following categories:

• Hyresrättsförsäkring (Home Insurance for Rentals): A home insurance for tenants, both first-hand and second-hand rentals, covering yourself, your rental and your belongings. This insurance is not only for apartment rentals, it also includes house and townhouse rentals, as well as if you rent a room.
• Bostadsrättsförsäkring (Home Insurance for Condos): A home insurance for apartment owners, covering yourself, your apartment and your belongings.‍

ICA Car Insurance

ICA Insurance offers a variety of options when it comes to car insurances, for all kinds of cars:

• Trafikförsäkring (Third-party Liability Insurance/Traffic Insurance): Covers damages you cause to other people and their property while driving your car. To enhance your protection, you can opt for additional coverage. This insurance is legally required to have in Sweden, and you need to have it from the first day of owning your car.
• Halvförsäkring (Partial Insurance Coverage): Typically includes additional protection against things like fire, theft, and glass damage.
• Helförsäkring (Comprehensive/Full Insurance Coverage): Further covers damage to your own vehicle in the event of a collision. This is valuable if you own a new or expensive car that would be costly to repair or replace with your own funds.

ICA Insurance have an appreciated policy of a fixed car insurance price for 5 years, if you're not involved in any incidents, accidents or have other issues with your car. Machine coverage is applicabel for cars not older than 8 years or with a maximum of 12 000 Swedish miles (included in Partial + Full Coverage Plans). They also have a variety of available add-ons (Plus Packages ) for your car and offer ICA bonuses for your car insurance each year.

ICA Travel Insurance

ICA Insurance offers 60 days of Travel Insurance through all their Home Insurance plan, with the additional possibility for extended coverage:

• ICA Travel Insurance - Long-stay: Travel insurance for longer stays abroad with extended coverage.
• ICA Travel Insurance for Seniors (70+): Travel insurance specifically for seniors (70+ years of age).
• ICA Travel Insurance Backpacker: A travel insurance tailored for backpackers, coverage for up to 1 year.
• ICA Travel Insurance Holiday: An add-on to the regular travel insurance included in ICA home insurance, for example to cover car rentals, holiday interruption and similar. You can also opt for the extra add-on for sports equipment.
