Can I get a mortgage in Sweden without income history in Sweden?
Getting a mortgage without a Swedish income history is tough but definitely not unheard of. Some banks might be willing to consider your application if you have a substantial down payment and/or a strong financial history in your home country. However, most banks prefer applicants with a steady income in Sweden. If you have a job offer or a contract in Sweden, that could help your case. Be prepared for a more stringent approval process and possibly higher interest rates, as well as a higher requirement of down payment (usually 20-30%, in comparison to 15% which is the usual requirement).
